The brief
K-Mall 2 is strategically positioned next to Borey Chankiri, reinforcing a strong sense of community within the growing neighborhood. The site was carefully chosen to bring essential amenities closer to residents, improving daily convenience while supporting social interaction, recreation, and family life.
The design introduces the idea of an urban oasis. At the heart of the project lies a generous open courtyard that acts as the mall’s social core. This central space creates a welcoming, human centered environment where visitors naturally gather, relax, and move through the site in a fluid, intuitive way.
Highly versatile, the courtyard can accommodate a wide range of events from casual meetups to cultural celebrations, pop up markets, and seasonal festivities. This transforms the mall into more than a retail destination. It becomes a shared place that encourages connection, creativity, and cultural exchange.
The architectural approach blends greenery, soft landscape elements, and warm contemporary forms to reinforce comfort and wellbeing. Nature is used as a unifying layer, softening the structure and bringing a calm, refreshing character to the open spaces.
K-Mall 2 ultimately redefines what a neighborhood mall can be. It is a living community hub where convenience, lifestyle, and social connection come together in a single cohesive experience.

The design promotes an informal, relaxed atmosphere where architecture and landscape merge to create a fluid spatial experience. Soft planting frames walkways, terraces, and shaded seating areas, encouraging visitors to slow down and enjoy the environment.
By focusing on openness, greenery, and social versatility, K Mall 2 delivers a human-centered destination that supports both everyday convenience and vibrant community life.
