A connected residential district built around nature, mobility, and community life.
The brief
Borey Chankiri II Central Park builds upon the vision established in the first Chankiri development, expanding the neighbourhood with a stronger focus on public space, walkability, and the relationship between homes and nature. Positioned along the Prek Tnaot creek, the masterplan embraces the natural landscape as an integral part of daily life rather than a boundary. The arrival sequence gradually shifts residents away from National Road 2 into a calm, green environment where the creek becomes a shared amenity and a defining identity of the place.
Residents are welcomed through landscaped gateways, shaded sidewalks, gathering plazas, and a creek-side park that serves as both a transition and communal heart. The design encourages movement and outdoor routines from morning walks and cycling to weekend gatherings along viewing decks overlooking the water.
Scope of Work
Our scope involved developing a coherent masterplan and public realm strategy grounded in landscape, mobility, and neighbourhood identity. The work included circulation planning, park system structuring, creek-side interventions, and creating a hierarchy of streets and green spaces that support everyday life. The approach balances efficient land-use with generous open space, ensuring every home remains within walking distance of parks, plazas, or community amenities.
Borey Chankiri II Central Park is envisioned as a vibrant ecological core within the broader residential masterplan, offering a shared green destination where residents can gather, exercise, and connect with nature. The design creates a meaningful balance between natural systems, contemporary living, and Khmer cultural identity, transforming the park into a defining feature of the community.
